Sugar Lumber Fest - Sugar Shack


On April 8th, the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne  will be transformed into a huge urban Sugar Shack. Reserve your seat for one of three sittings and come indulge on a non-traditional gourmet menu prepared by Rituel’s Chef Jean-Philippe Ménard. Savour baked beans served hot from the kettle and enjoy maple syrup straight from our maple tree. Each reservation also gives you access to the outdoor venue where you will find a hot chocolate bar, a maple taffy bar and a lumberjack competition.

Onion confit purée with balsamic vinegar, blueberry chutney made with Fine Sève maple liqueur

Seasoned with maple sugar and sea salt

Maple syrup and chipotle glaze

Lumberjack-style turkey drumstick in a sweet-spice coating

Slow-cooked in duck fat, served with a Jack Daniels and maple syrup sauce

- Lumberjack -

Come test your lumberjack abilities with an axe throwing, log sawing and log throwing competition. In total, 7 stations will be available to help you embrace your inner-lumberjack side. A kids’ competition is also planned with challenges for children 12-years old and under. Outdoor festivities begin at 11 a.m.
